Terrible customer service - service


I ordered some products from this place. I hadn't heard anything via email about my order being placed and thought I had maybe deleted the email on accident. I emailed the company asking if they received my order since it had already been 5 or 6 days and I hadn't heard a thing. I was not expecting an immediate response since it was around the holidays. 3 days later I emailed again. And waited. Heard nothing. I have weird hours at work so it's hard to call places during "normal" business hours and this is why I rely on email. Another few days went by and I heard nothing. So I called them up on a saturday. The customer service person said that they could not give me an ETA on the weekend and they were only there to take orders. I had him look up my order and the darn thing was backordered and no one bothered to tell me. I had him cancel the order and then I wrote a lengthy email to "customer service" about how they should properly handle their business. In this economy I would think places would be bending over backwards for customers but the opposite seems to be true in almost every place I shop or any place I order from. Finally a few days after that I heard back.....about the FIRST email that I sent and they told me that it was canceled. Never heard anything regarding the other emails. You would think they would have apologized and send a coupon or something, but no. Guess they are doing ok in the recession....
